Hey so, I’m probably older than you think. In high school, I remember my friend bragging to me about an invite code he got for this new website, ‘DeviantArt.’ It was this cool new place users could post their art to, make friends, get inspired, so on. Once upon a time, that was a novelty. DA has never been my ‘main’ hub online, but it’s always had a special place in my heart. I’ve been active on this account since 2007. It really sucks they leaned so hard into the antithesis of art and the community that it once fostered. I appreciate all of you who read my comic here. I really, really do— you guys often have some of the best comments and reactions to things. I love it, so thank you. Bare with me, though, because I think this is important. Stressed out

So! I had an amazing summer working at Assateague Island. I worked and lived with amazing people. BEST SUMMER EVER! I had an amazing semester working through some new challenges and working on new projects with students I knew but had not worked with before. I got to help a professor with researching changes in vegetation in northeastern North America, I got paid to do it and I will get to present the results at a big conference. AMAZING. I completed a Master's Degree is December. SAY WHAT?!? But now...all of that is over. School is done and I have completed my degree. I will continue to help the professor as needed to complete the research

Maryland Here I Come!!

ok so i'm not leaving until sunday but still!! a lot of things have changed since my last entry. my husband is no longer leaving for 3 months (yay for the kitties) and echo's behavior has improved so much that the vet no longer believes that she will need medication while i am gone. I still have the sentry collars and feliway set up for the summer while i am gone to help the kitties be less stressed while i am away. plus a big ol' bag of catnip and several new catnip toys to help keep them occupied. the only thing i am concerned about is the trip itself as i am driving this 8+hr trip solo. i have never driven that long solo before (usually

stuff!

OK! so good stuff has been happening! school is good and work is better than it was before. I quit work in september and 2 months later they asked me back for the holidays as an associate (much less stress and i needed the money). the new store manager is great but sadly is leaving after only about 6 months in the position. the job is just too much (and she used to be a district manager!). but anyways! i got a paid summer internship! woo! i'll be leaving for about 3 months to muck around in salt marshes! i will bring my camera, hopefully i will have some down time to take pix. I will be on an east facing beach so hopefully i can get some sun

Hey! How's it going? I could have sworn I was watching you already... I got so bad about keeping up with anything happening on DA after I moved, I'm still getting back into the swing of it.

Lol that's ok. Things are going well but pretty slow here. Finally finished digging out from the storm and now I'm gearing up for the next one. I mostly follow people on DA at this point, I don't post as much as I used to.

How about you? How are you doing?

I was going to go down to Plymouth, but it got pushed off until next weekend. So now I'm just resting up from a busy first half of the week and trying to finish this current comic page.
